Practice Your Photography
The Photo School Practices are aimed at those looking for an opportunity to get out and
about in London with others, improve their photography and raise some
cash for charity in the process.
It's a chance to meet new
photography friends at a fundraising event each month. The emphasis is
on practicing what you know, sharing that with others and having some
fun!
Naked Bike Ride
On Saturday 12 June 2010, the seventh London World Naked Bike Ride will return to the streets of the capital, allowing riders to see the city sights from the comfort of a bike or skates.
The
ride is easy and upbeat, and riders decorate their bodies and bikes
with messages of protest against oil dependency and car culture.
Suggested donations are £2.
The
current route plan will pass near to: Hyde Park, Piccadilly Circus,
Trafalgar Square, Whitehall, Parliament, Royal Courts of Justice,
Ludgate, St Paul's Cathedral, Bank of England, London Bridge, City Hall
(GLA Building), Tower Bridge, and The Tower of London.
Details
The
aim of the photo practice are for them to be semi self-organising! I
will provide the outline e.g. maps, meeting points (food, drinks,
toilets) and research links, but I ask that you share your knowledge
with others. On the day you will be asked to contribute:
1) A photography tip related to photographing the subject/area
2) Local knowledge you have researched or a historic fact that you know
Afterwards,
there will be a chance for everyone to upload their photos and have
comments on them from other members. It's a great way to improve your
photography and see others' perspectives.
Donation
The
practice events have a suggested donation of a £2. But feel free to donate what you like! The money collected
from this event will go to the UK World Naked Bike Ride fund. Please
pay what you think you can afford/wish to donate.
